Committed in the 1981 assassination attempt on then US President Ronald Reagan American John Hinckley Jr. was released after 35 years of detention in a psychiatric hospital. It is reported by the service Bi-bi-si.
March 30, 1981 Hinckley fired several shots at the American President, when he came out of the building in Washington. Reagan was wounded lungs as a result of ricochet. Were also injured two police officers and press officer of the President.
The offender was declared by a medical examination of insane and sent for treatment in spetsklinike in Washington.
Currently Hinckley Jr. can spend 17 days a month in his mother’s house in Virginia, but under the strict control of law enforcement. Next month, these restrictions will be canceled.
