Opposition leader Alexei Navalny has filed a lawsuit against the head of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, reports the Pro-Kremlin Interfax news Agency.

As reported in the Moscow court, the decision on acceptance of a claim will be made within the statutory period.

Lawyer based Navalny Fund of struggle against corruption Ivan Zhdanov explained that the statement of claim the opposition asks the court to recognize the illegal actions of Putin, associated with mass failures of local authorities in different cities to coordinate rallies.

November 1, Navalny announced that he was going to file a lawsuit against Putin and demand to interrogate the officials.
