The trial of the accused in the shot down of flight MH17 will be held in the Hague. This was stated by the Minister of security and justice of the Netherlands Stef Blok in the House of representatives, reports NOS.

Previously, it was agreed that the defendants will be prosecuted in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands.

“The Hague court is the logical choice for this process, said Block.

On the question of whether or not to attend themselves suspects on trial in the Hague, the Block said, “I can’t guarantee that this will be possible, but we will do everything for that.”

In early July, Ukraine and the Netherlands signed a bilateral agreement on international legal cooperation against crimes related to the disaster. It allows you to prosecute those responsible for the deaths of all the victims from 17 countries.

In February 2017, experts Bellingcat found that transport launchers of anti-aircraft missile system Buk missile which downed airliner flight MH17 over the Donbas, controlled by retired Russian officer Sergey Dubinsky.
