“American coal brand G (gas) is designed to Ladyzhyn and Zaporizhia thermal power plant. Currently, stations are located 79 and 80 thousand tons of coal, respectively. The second delivery of the brand G from USA allows US to mitigate the temporary shortage of fuel in Ukraine, resulting from the blockade and stop the supply of anthracite from the temporarily uncontrolled territory. On the morning of 20 November, the port of Chernomorsk unloaded 22 tons of coal,” – said in the message.
DTEK noted that the lack of Ukrainian anthracite in March 2016 has led to an increased load on thermal power plants, which operate on a stamp G, and also the increase in the consumption of coal after implementation of the projects for the translation of CHP-units with anthracite for the brand G.
“While the production of the G brand in Ukraine covers the needs of TPP, DTEK has to buy the missing volumes in the import direction. At the beginning of AWP is the resource for the G grade is the most in demand,” added the company.
