In Ukraine a total of 36.9% of those surveyed by the Democratic initiatives Fund and Kiev international Institute of sociology (KIIS) made for the resumption of the death penalty in Ukraine. This is evidenced by the survey results.

In particular, 21.2% of the respondents strongly agree with the statement that the death penalty is necessary, and 15.7% – rather agree than disagree.

At the same time, 15.7% of the respondents fully agree with this statement, 12,6% – rather disagree than agree, and 20.8% agree to disagree.

14% of respondents were undecided.

The survey was conducted from 4 to 19 August.

Interviewed 2 040 respondents over 18 years in 110 settlements in all regions, except the annexed Crimea (in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions survey was conducted only controlled by Ukrainian authorities territories.

Statistical sampling error does not exceed 2.3%.
