The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine checks the situation on the market of liquefied gas. Comments about this Radio Liberty said the state Commissioner of the AMCU Valery polyukhovich.
“Today is indeed a sharp rise in prices in retail. There are objective factors that triggered the growth. This decrease of imports from Russia and Belarus due to certain administrative obstacles, which are created in Russia, and the planned repairs of the factories producing this product,” said polyukhovich.
Also according to him, the price of gas is affected by seasonal factors in August-September peak loads on the market. “We have witnessed a constant growth of consumption of this product is due to the fact that this product is cheaper,” he added.
Polyukhovich said that the AMC might not yet definite to say about the anti-competitive actions in connection with rising liquefied natural gas.
“We can’t say for sure whether it is anticompetitive concerted actions, because the information that we have relates to objective factors. According to subjective factors, we can only speak when will receive the full amount of information from the SFS, the state statistics service, Ministry of energy”, – he added.
We will remind, on the eve of the price of autogas at filling stations has continued to grow. The average price of gas for Ukraine on Tuesday increased by 18 kopecks./l to 16,16 UAH/liter.
The main factor of rise in price of LPG analysts say a shortage of the resource and predict a stabilization of retail prices for mid-September.
29 Aug Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman instructed relevant ministries and agencies to deal with the situation on the liquefied gas market and to take measures to reduce the cost of fuel.
