The human rights organization Transparency International Ukraine welcomes the decision of President Petro Poroshenko to submit to Parliament the draft law on anti-corruption court next week. However, organizations are reminded of the wishes to this document that had previously been voiced by the Venice Commission. This is stated in the statement published on the website of Transparency International.

In the organization hope the President will take into account all the findings and recommendations of the Venice Commission. In particular, the order of selection and appointment of judges anti-corruption courts, their remuneration, the system of self-government and possible liability.

“We hope for practical steps to construction of the Institute’s anti-corruption court in the next 2018 year,” the statement reads.

The organization also reported that compliance with the President’s bill “the challenges will be evaluated TI Ukraine after the possibility to study in detail the provisions of the document”.

On 15 December the President said that if the Verkhovna Rada can dismiss the old bills next week in Parliament with Bank will submit the draft law on the anti-constitutional court.
