Antonov and the Cuban airline Cubana agreed to contract for post-warranty service of the Ukrainian aircraft An-158 airline. It is reported Avianews.
To resume operation of the planes, idle for lack of parts, Antonov pledged to form a flow of spare parts and ensure their delivery in conjunction with foreign partners.
The Ukrainian company said that currently issued airworthiness directives, allowing to extend the operation of the Cuban An-158 to run 3600 flights, which will continue their operation for a period of about six months.
A few days earlier, Cuban media reported that technical problems with the aircraft An-158 led to the cancellation of flights by local airlines.
At the moment of the six An-158, Antonov company delivered to Cuba the flights are now performed by only one airliner. Delivery of An-158 for Cubana were carried out in 2013-2015.
We will remind, on March 31, 2017 the first flight of the An-132D, the first aircraft produced by Antonov without the use of Russian spare parts.
