The new Ambassador of Italy in Ukraine appointed David La Cecilia. This is stated in a message posted on Twitter of the Embassy of Italy in Kiev.
“August 29, 2016 David La Cecilia is extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Italy in Ukraine”, – stated in the message.
La Cecilia was born in Rome in 1961. His diplomatic career began in 1989 with offices in the government Secretariat. In 1992 he was first Vice-Consul in Hong Kong, in 1996 – first Secretary in London. In 1999 he returned to Rome. In 2011 he was appointed Plenipotentiary Minister, in 2013 he held the position of Consul General in Jerusalem.
Earlier, the Ambassador of Italy in Kiev was occupied by Fabrizio Romano.
