Steelmaker ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih finished the construction of the first phase of a new tailing dump-Central – special hydraulic structures designed for storing waste ore and tailings. Investment in the construction amounted to $10.7 million reported by the press service of the company.

The project is implemented under the investment program of the enterprise for modernization of production and to reduce the burden on the environment.

Hydrotechnological construction company has built on the industrial site, additional land acquisition was not required for this. The total volume capacity of the object is 13.8 million cubic meters.

AMKR operates two tailings facilities Mirolyubovka and United. The fourth card. For the rational use of land, the company carries out the reconstruction of tailing ponds by building diversion dikes and implementation of environmental technologies for the maintenance of these facilities.

Earlier it was reported that AMKR in the next three years intends to invest in manufacture about $1 billion.
