At the Berlin film festival in a special screening organized in collaboration with the European film Academy, is scheduled for February 11 premiere of “Process” directed by Askold Kurova. This is the official page of the movie in Facebook.

The film tells about the political process over Oleg Sentsov, which began after the arrest of the Director in 2014 in the Crimea. Then began the shooting.

“We hope that … the film will contribute to the global campaign and help him (Oleg Sentsov, – an edition) in the end return to freedom,” said the authors of the film.

Sentsov was arrested by the FSB in annexed Crimea, and then transferred to prison in Moscow. He was accused of preparing terrorist attacks. In August 2015 the North Caucasus district military court sentenced him to 20 years in a strict regime. Accomplice Sentsova Russian investigators have made Kolchenko – he was given 10 years in a strict regime colony. Human rights organizations consider the charges groundless and politically motivated. 21 October, Russia refused to grant Sentsov, followed and Alexander Kolchenko. Foreign Ministry demanded from Russia to immediately release and return of Ukrainians.

Russia has occupied the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in 2014 year. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially declared on 20 February 2014 beginning of the temporary occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia. Key international organizations, including the UN General Assembly has condemned Russia’s actions and called the annexation and occupation of Crimea illegal. Against Russia were imposed economic sanctions. For the implementation by Moscow of the so-called elections with the participation of the Crimea in 2016-m to year the Parliament of Ukraine recognized the Russian state Duma is illegitimate.
