In the Donbas began to act a ceasefire during new year and Christmas holidays, which was agreed on the eve of the trilateral contact group in Minsk (Belarus). This reports the press service of staff ATO in Facebook.
“The armed forces of Ukraine are ready for the establishment and observance of the cease-fire on 23 Dec 2017”, – stated in the message.
It is noted that the units of the APU in the area ATO on the territory of Donetsk and Lugansk regions “ready to ensure the implementation of all activities for implementing and maintaining the ceasefire across the line of contact in Eastern Ukraine”.
“At the same time, only in the event of a threat to the life and health of the local population, personnel of the APU in the area ATO, carrying out provocative actions by illegal armed groups ORLO and ORDO attempts to change a particular line of differentiation, the APU is at any moment ready to take up arms in response,” warns the Ukrainian side of the Joint center for coordination and control of the ceasefire in the Donbass (SCCC).
Also from the information JCCC follows that on 20 December the decision was made to establish a “comprehensive, sustainable and indefinite cease-fire from 00.00 on December 23, 2017 in connection with the Christmas and new year holidays.”
