Auchan Retail Ukraine sold it owned a 20% stake in Ukrainian supermarket chain Furshet investment company VI2-Partners, the press service of the company.
“This decision is correlated with the global strategy of the Auchan Retail Ukraine, providing for the development of multi-format under a single brand-by the sign. The recent purchase of stores Caravan, which will gradually come under the brand of Auchan, direct proof,” – said in the message.
The transaction amount was not disclosed.
Auchan and the retail group Furshet signed a partnership agreement in 2007.
The first Auchan hypermarket in Ukraine was opened in March 2008 To open new stores, the network consisted of 11 hypermarkets in Ukraine: six – in Kiev, one in Krivoy Rog, Zaporozhye, Lvov, Sokil’nyky (Lviv region) and the Fontanka (Odessa region).
As previously reported, Auchan bought nine hypermarkets Caravan.
