The Minister of internal Affairs Arsen Avakov has described the causes of rising crime, a large number of weapons in the country, the impact of the war and the decrease in the level of welfare of citizens. About it reports UKRINFORM.
“The real growth (of crime – ed.) is. Due to the fact that too a wide scope of hostilities and the free circulation of weapons. Moreover, the war harms the emotional and mental state, it also provokes some situations. Well, a direct relationship between economic status, the wealth of people and level of crime – it has not been canceled. This happens in the UK, in the US, unfortunately, so it is with us”, – said Avakov.
He noted that the statements about the growth in the number of crimes “at times” is speculation. The increase in numbers in the statistics is due, in particular, with the fact that the police now record all offenses and does not terminate an unsolved case.
“We register everything, only close cases in which the criminal proceedings are completed or there is no crime. It gives fluctuations in the statistics,” – said the Minister.
On 12 August it was reported that last year in Ukraine significantly increased the level of crime and the quantitative indicators reached the level of 90-ies.
