Everyone who participated in the illegal crossing of the Polish-Ukrainian border together with the ex-Governor of the Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili, will be prosecuted according to the law – including people’s deputies. About this in Facebook said interior Minister Arsen Avakov.
Police opened criminal proceedings according to article 332 of the criminal code (illegal transportation of persons across state border).
“The investigation and the formal procedure of gathering facts and evidence. This is a “heavy” article. I am sure he will support us, and the courts. Each character of those who took part in breaking the border and the attack on border guards and police will “ofiice”, installed and subjected to punishment by the law,” he said.
In this regard, Avakov urged Saakashvili and other illegally crossed the border to immediately choose between two options: to arrive at the checkpoint of Chegeni and complete the registration procedure and/or to arrive at the FMS. He also said that all participants of a breakthrough, including MPs, should report to the police to testify.
According to the Minister, whose long-standing conflict with Saakashvili, he “was not an important factor stateless – this let the court understands”.
The Minister said that forbade the security forces to use weapons and other force to protest, and law enforcement “blocked and detained a few dozen people of a sports Constitution who came to the border to hold a contest”.
