Belarusian opposition politician Mikalai Statkevich was released from the Minsk detention facility of the state security Committee of Belarus. I told myself Statkevich, information about the place of detention which was not in the course of three days, informs Radio Liberty.

“My status is a suspect. Said today that we take for investigation, but suddenly he let go,” said Statkevich.

Commenting on his detention, he also reported that he refused to testify when he was in prison.

Mikalai Statkevich was arrested in Minsk on March 23. In the KGB Statkevich has shown the decision about excitation of criminal case against him for “preparing for riots”. It was written that since 2011 he and a group of unidentified people were preparing mass riots.

However, he stressed that since December 2010 to August 2015, was behind bars in the case of mass riots.

Meanwhile, the press service of the KGB denied Statkevich’s statement that he was under arrest and that against it opened a criminal case.

On 25 March in Minsk there took place the dispersal of anti-government protests, about 700 people were arrested. The arrests were condemned by US and EU. In Ukraine: solidarity with the detained in Minsk.
