Canada has not received from the Ukrainian side requests for weapons after you enable Ukraine to the list of countries in which allowed canadian exports of automatic firearms. This was at a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday, December 21, said the Minister of foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland, reports UKRINFORM.

“In Canada, a very complicated process of control of arms exports, which is very important for us. We really take this seriously because it’s a big responsibility of the government and me personally, I sign all applications, which allow weapons exports. It is necessary first to was a request for the purchase of weapons, and then it goes through this whole process,” said Freeland.

It is noted that she recalled the exclusion of Ukraine from the list of prohibited to export weapons to countries.

“Up to this point there were no requests, the process has not yet begun,” – said the foreign Minister of Canada.
