The failure of the RAID of anti-corruption bodies investigating possible corruption schemes in the leadership of the Migration service, is a threat to the visa-free regime of Ukraine with the countries of the European Union. This was stated by Evrotrade the Ambassador of France in Kiev Isabelle Dumont.
The diplomat commented “the case of Pinachevo and agents of NABOO,” which law enforcement authorities investigated the existence of large-scale schemes for bribes of citizenship to foreigners with fraudulent documents.
“Speaking about visa liberalization: I want to underline the history of passports. The suspicion about the existence of corruption schemes, which allow third country nationals to obtain a passport of Ukraine is very serious,” said Dumont.
The French Ambassador noted that the EU is “particularly closely” following the developments in the situation with the investigation by GMS.
“If our suspicions are confirmed, it will be very important from the perspective of a visa-free regime,” he warned her.
