“631 the ship visited the Crimea after was adopted by the UN General Assembly resolution, that is, after the end of March 2014 annexation of Crimea – ed.). 352 of them under the Russian flag. 97 but under the Ukrainian”, – he said.
Chubarov added that we are talking about merchant ships. “This trade at the expense of those who are sitting there (in Crimea – ed.) in prisons, at the expense of those who are in those conditions continues to protect the interests of Ukraine”, – said Chubarov.

Russia has occupied the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in 2014 year. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially declared on 20 February 2014 beginning of the temporary occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia. Key international organizations, including the UN General Assembly has condemned Russia’s actions and called the annexation and occupation of Crimea illegal. Against Russia were imposed economic sanctions.
