Chairman of the Board of Transparency International Andriy Marusov said about his withdrawal from the composition of the tender Commission on selection of candidates for members of the National Agency for prevention of corruption. About it reports a press-service of the organization.
Thus, the competition for positions in NACP may be deferred for a few months – until the election of a new Board member.
“Unfortunately, because of the desire of the authorities to establish control over the National Agency for prevention of corruption, there have been a number critical to the quality of the competition for the positions of members of the NACP events,” says Transparency International.
In particular, Transparency International points to the vote for the candidacy of Alexander Skopich his immediate supervisor Konstantin Vashchenko – the court thus saw no conflict of interest. In addition, organizations complain about lack of qualifications of the head of the NACP Natalia Korchak and her “proximity to politicians from the party people’s front”.
He Marusov said that one vote does not affect significantly the processes in the NACP, and the position of Transparency International authorities “openly disregarded”.
