Denmark will coordinate the project to support the fight against corruption in Ukraine in the framework of the “anti-corruption initiative of the European Union”. In addition, the Danish side will be developed 5-year implementation strategy support for reforms in Ukraine in the areas of decentralization, anti-corruption, energy, public administration. This was announced by the Minister of foreign Affairs of Denmark, Anders Samuelsen during a meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman, transfers a press-service of the government.
The sides also discussed main priorities of development of bilateral cooperation.
Groysman stressed that the government is now working on the creation of the priority action programme until 2020.
The Minister of foreign Affairs of Denmark, in turn, noted that Ukraine has already achieved significant progress in reforming.
Groysman thanked the Kingdom of Denmark for the support of Ukraine in countering Russian aggression and informed about the current situation in the Donbass. Samuelsen said that Denmark continues to support Ukraine, condemning the annexation of Crimea by Russia and the violation of its territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
January 14, Denmark has announced its intention to increase military spending because of the threat from Russia, including due to the placement of missile systems in the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation.
