On 87-m to year of life has died the French fashion designer and founder of my own fashion house Sonia Rykiel. It is reported by Le Figaro.
According to the daughter of fashion designer Natalie Rykiel died early Thursday morning, August 25 in Paris.
Nathalie Rykiel has published in his Instagram photo of the mother without a signature.
The last few years of his life the designer was suffering from Parkinson’s disease.
Sonia Rykiel was born in the suburbs of Paris on 25 may 1930 in a family of Jewish immigrants from Russia. At age 17 she took a job as a window dresser of one of the textile shops in the French capital. In 1962, she created clothes for pregnant women for the boutique Laura. Its design became popular, and soon Smith became known as “the Queen of knitwear”. His first boutique designer opened in 1986 in Paris.
Currently the fashion house produces Sonia Rykiel clothing for women and children, as well as perfumes and accessories.
