Two astronomers from Northern Arizona University in the United States that are engaged in the search for the ninth planet of the Solar system, discovered in the course of things the most remote from the sun the object of our planetary system. This is stated in the message on the website of the Carnegie institution.

A celestial object title 2014 FE72 is about 3000 times farther from the Sun than the Earth.

According to one of the study’s authors Scott Sheppard “now we are in the same situation as the mid-nineteenth century, when Alexis Bouvard studied the orbital motion of Uranus, which led eventually to the discovery of Neptune…”.

The tandem of scholars argues that yet undiscovered “planet X” must be on an orbit with a period of rotation around the Sun, about 15 thousand years and its mass is 10 times the mass of Earth. At the closest point the ninth planet approaches the sun at a distance of 200 astronomical units, and the far point of its orbit away from the star at 600-1200.e.
