In the occupied Crimea abducted 20 people, 18 people are in custody. This was announced by the representative of the President of Ukraine on Affairs of the Crimean Tatar people, MP Mustafa Cemil in his interview to the Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza says on the page for the Ombudsman in Facebook.
In particular, Dzhemilev answered the question about Russia’s aggression, repression and pressure on the Crimean Tatars and the Kremlin’s attempts to “recruit” him with the decision of a question on criminal prosecution of his son.
“The Russians have condemned him (Hayser Dzhemilev) to 3.5 years of imprisonment and from the Crimea immediately taken to prison in Astrakhan. Then I heard that Putin wants to meet with me, and if the conversation is productive, I will open the way Home, and the son will be immediately fired. To which I asked, did “the King” my son hostage? If so, then he is a terrorist. And we’re not talking terrorists … ” – said Dzhemilev.
“Somehow the Russian politician Grigory Yavlinsky remarked that Putin is able to act only in two ways, which are used while working in the security services that he either recruited, or against those who are not able to recruit, leads the RAID. In my case this rule to work, are unable to recruit, therefore pursue”, he added.
However, as noted Dzhemilev, hostage of the Kremlin is not only his son, currently in detention of 18 activists, more than 20 of our people were kidnapped, some were found dead, others still hoped to find alive.”
On 24 August, Russia recognized the Ukrainian citizenship of the son of the ex-head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Cemil – Hayser, who was illegally taken in the Russian Federation, condemned and was transferred to the colony.
Russia has occupied the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in 2014 year. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially declared on 20 February 2014 beginning of the temporary occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia. Key international organizations, including the UN General Assembly has condemned Russia’s actions and called the annexation and occupation of Crimea illegal. Against Russia were imposed economic sanctions.
