Today, 15 December, started a new Supreme court. The decision about the launch date of sun, which marks the 100th anniversary of the Foundation of the Supreme court of the UPR was adopted by the plenary of the new court of 30 November 2017.
Also today ceased to exist, old Supreme court, Supreme administrative court, Supreme economic court and the Higher specialized court for civil and criminal cases.
In addition, the first day of the new Supreme court came into force the law No. 2147-VIII on amendments to the Economic and Civil procedure codes, administrative procedure Code and other legislative acts, which launches judicial reform (some of its provisions came into force on 29 November 2017).
One of the main innovations of this law is the determination of the Supreme court as a single court of cassation in Ukraine and the introduction of a new order of consideration of cases.

In addition, the judiciary will create a unified system of electronic proceedings (will be operational after 90 days from the date of the official message about its creation), and the trials will be open (allowed video recording and online broadcast).
Also three months later, on March 15, 2018, will come into force amendments to the Criminal procedural code regarding time limits of pre-trial investigation.
November 30, 2017 plenary session of the new Supreme court was elected Chairman of this judicial authority Valentina Danishevska.
