Ukraine needs to broaden sanctions against Russia because of the “elections” in the occupied Crimea, the press service of the foreign Ministry.

The Ukrainian office has sent the government a note of protest.

The Ministry also stressed that Ukraine strongly condemns the organization of the Russian Federation of 10 September on the territory temporarily occupied Sevastopol illegal elections of “Governor”, “by-elections of the Deputy of legislative Assembly of Sevastopol”, and also “by-elections of certain municipalities”.

The foreign Ministry called such actions of the Kremlin “the continuation of grave violations of the Russian Federation state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine”.

“We stress that any steps aimed at legitimizing the illegal occupation of part of Ukraine’s sovereign territory does not create any legal consequences for the constitutional consolidation of Ananai of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol as part of Ukraine”, – reads the statement of the foreign Ministry.

Earlier today, the Ministry of foreign Affairs protested against the verdict of the “court” of occupants in a fake case of the Deputy Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars Akhtem chigusa.
