The escalating conflict between Ukraine and Poland can be avoided exclusively by diplomatic means. This was stated by Deputy head of presidential Administration Konstantin Eliseev in an interview with channel 5.

“The language (of the conflict – ed.) entered the Polish side. The Ukrainian side is not interested in quarrels with our strategic partner. So we try very calmly to engage in dialogue with Warsaw, to solve emotional political statements as the Polish government representatives, and representatives of certain political circles”, – he said.

According to him, Kiev is convinced of the strategic partnership “is much more important than some temporary difficulties”.

“And I understand the issues of our shared history,” – said Elisha.

He added that President Petro Poroshenko is willing to engage in fruitful dialogue with his Polish counterpart, President Andrzej Duda.
