A vote on the freezing of the accession negotiations of Turkey to the EU, which will take place on 24 November in the European Parliament, Ankara has no value, be it positive or negative. This opinion was expressed at the economic conference of the Islamic States, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says the Turkish Agency Anadolu.

“No matter what will be the result. The vote means nothing to us… Just the fact that the European Parliament intends to vote on this issue suggests that he supports terrorist organizations and is on their side,” he said.

Erdogan added that the West “unjustly” criticizes Ankara for the repression in the country after a failed attempt of a military coup on July 15.

“Instead of supporting the Turkish people, who defended democracy, the West continues to pursue a policy of double standards against Turkey,” he said, accusing the EU that he “did not protect children who tried to find refuge in Europe.”

Earlier, for the suspension of negotiations with Ankara on the European integration were made by all major factions of the European Parliament, and initiated this idea, the social Democrats and representatives of the European people’s party.
