The court of appeal of Dnipropetrovsk region sent under house arrest of former first Deputy Chairman of the city Council of the Dnieper suspected of drawing UAH 30 million of damage to the state budget. This is stated in the press service of the regional Prosecutor’s office.

“The court of appeal of Dnipropetrovsk oblast first Deputy Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk city Council (he held the position from 2000 to 2013 2014 to 2015) the measure of restraint in the form of house arrest,” – said in it.

Former first Deputy mayor suspected of abuse of official position for the purpose of obtaining unlawful benefit for other legal entities.

The pretrial investigation proceeds.

On 9 August, the Prosecutor’s office of Dnipropetrovsk region has reported about suspicion in drawing of 30 million hryvnias of losses to the state budget, the ex-mayor of the Dnieper.

Prosecutors said that 53 companies have not paid to the state budget equity contributions amounting to more than 18.3 million UAH due to the lack of control in the engineering and transport infrastructure of the Dnieper on the part of officials during 2000-2013 and 2014-2015.

Pre-trial investigation found that the suspect also did not provide for the transfer of 253 real estate utility property on the balance sheet of a company.

In addition, the official issued a decision on the transfer of non-residential premises existing utilities on balance non-existent, which led to housers in the amount of about UAH 3.5 million.
