Net profit (RAS) the world’s largest social network Facebook for 6 months of 2016, increased 2.89 times, compared to the same period in 2015, to $3,565 billion, the press service of the company.
For the second quarter of 2016, the company’s net profit grew by 26.5% ($545 million) to $2,055 billion, compared with the first quarter and 186% compared with the second quarter of 2015.
Excess earnings per share for the second quarter of 2016 was $0.71 against $0,25 a year earlier, and for the first half of 2016 of $1.23 versus $0,43.
Facebook revenue for the second quarter of 2016 increased by 59% to $6,436 billion, compared with the same period of 2015. Revenue for 6 months in 2016 was increased by 1.5 times – up to $11,818 billion.
Revenue from advertising in the second quarter amounted to $6,239 billion – 63% more than in the same period of 2015. Revenue from mobile advertising grew by 63% to $6,239 billion.
17% increase in the number of daily active users of Facebook. In June, the figure was 1.13 billion people. Of them of 1.03 billion went into the social network from mobile devices. The average number of active users per month increased by 15% to 1.71 billion users. As at 30 June 2016, the number of mobile Facebook users increased by 20% – to 1.57 billion people.
