International rating Agency Fitch confirmed long-term rating of state-owned Ukreximbank and Oschadbank at CCC level.

According to the Agency, CCC long-term ratings and the ratings of the sustainability of the SSS reflect shortcomings of the creditworthiness of banks, in particular, the high level of impaired loans and weak profitability to impairment charges loans and low capital adequacy ratios.

The ratings incorporate the challenging, albeit gradually stabilizing, operating environment, acceptable coverage existing non-performing loans (overdue more than 90 days) allowance for impairment losses, the decrease in short-term refinancing risks following the restructuring of Eurobonds in 2015, the stabilization of the trends in deposits, which is supported by the recent stabilization of the hryvnia, as well as a good reserve of liquidity.

The ratings also take into account the country’s overall performance on the version of Fitch.
