International rating Agency Fitch has improved the forecast of growth of economy of Ukraine in 2017 to 2.5%. Previously, Fitch forecasted the GDP growth at 2%.

The Agency has maintained its GDP growth forecast for this year at 1.1%.

Previously, Fitch raised the long-term rating of Ukraine in foreign and national currency from CCC to b – with a stable Outlook.

The European Bank for reconstruction and development (EBRD) has lowered its growth forecast for Ukraine’s GDP in 2016 from 2% to 1.5%. In 2017, the Bank expects an economic growth of 2%.

The international monetary Fund has maintained the growth forecast for Ukraine’s economy next year at 2.5% with inflation at 8.5%. The Fund also has retained the GDP growth forecast for 2016 at 1.5% with inflation at 13.5%.
