Yesterday, 26 December at 21:00 Moscow time at the Baikonur cosmodrome launched launch vehicle Zenit-2ЅБ with Angolan satellite angosat on Board, which made contact once, then lost. It is reported by the Russian branch of Interfax, citing a source from Baikonur.
“After separation from the upper stage, the satellite was out of communication, but the communication with him was lost, telemetric information ceased. The connection could be interrupted due to failure of the transmitter, a digital computer or faulty batteries”, – stated in the message.
As said the interlocutor of the Agency, “experts are trying to establish a connection with the satellite”.
At 07:54 am in Kiev took place the separation of the satellite from the rocket. As expected, the final ascent of the device into the planned orbit should be using its own engine.
The satellite angosat was made in the Russian Corporation “Energy”.
At the end of November 2017 there was an unsuccessful launch from Vostochny in Russia: the satellite is also not contacted because the upper stage and the satellites crashed and burned in the atmosphere.
