The European Commission is preparing a proposal for the implementation of a European version of the ESTA – electronic system for authorization and relaxation, which, if approved, will oblige entering to EU citizens from countries with visa-free travel to pay for the entry permit of $14. This is with reference to own sources in Brussels, the newspaper writes EurActiv.
“Paris and Berlin forced the development of a scheme order to implement the pan-European system of obtaining permits for travellers who wish to enter the territory of the EU”, – stated in the text material.
Such legislative initiative is going to propose for consideration at the end of the year, possibly in November.
According to the newspaper, eurojet will spread to those who are not required to obtain visas to enter the EU.

The idea was first floated in June, when the EU discussed the liberalization of the visa regime for Georgia, Ukraine, Kosovo and Turkey, however, as suggested by the source, the impetus for the initiative was the search for Brussels schemes security after the terrorist attacks on the territory of the European Union.
