In 2016, export of apples, pears and quince from Ukraine increased by 2.8 times. It is reported by the ASTP.
In particular, the supply of apples from Ukraine to the EU grew by 2016, 347 times to 1.12 tonnes compared with the period before the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU (2013). Implementation of apples to Asia for 2013-2016 increased 55 times to 1.21 thousand tons.
The largest share of Apple sales abroad accounted for Belarus, where Ukraine has increased the supply for 2014-2016 63% to 9.4 thousand tons Thus Belarus is a re-exporter of Ukrainian apples in Russia.
Almost all the export of pome fruits from the Ukraine have exactly apples – 95%, other pome fruit (pear, quince) occupy an insignificant share of exports of this group of fruits. Shipments abroad accounted for 4% of the gross collection of such fruits. Pome is mainly supplied to the domestic market. Last year in Ukraine was sold 213 thousand tons of pome fruits.

In 2016, Ukrainian producers sold apples in Asian countries at an average price of $0.44/kg, the EU – $0,22/kg. In Belarus, the Ukrainian company’s cheap products at a price of $0.17/kg. the average price of apples on the domestic market in 2016 amounted to $0,18/kg.
