Summoned to the foreign Ministry of Ukraine, Ambassador of Poland in Ukraine Jan Pieklo stated that the ban on entry to Poland Svyatoslav Sheremet contrary to the agreements of the co-chairs of the Advisory Committee of the presidents of Ukraine and Poland, which was reached on 17 November 2017 in Krakow. “They expressed hope that the agreements reached on the eve of the bilateral agreements will allow to promptly solve an annoying situation with Svyatoslav Sheremet,” – said in the message.

On 17 November during a meeting of the Advisory Committee in Krakow, the Deputy head of the presidential administration of Ukraine Kostyantyn Yeliseyev and Director of the office of the President of Poland Krzysztof Mersky agreed to lifting the moratorium on the exhumation of bodies of Polish victims of the Second world war on the territory of Ukraine, which has caused crisis in relations of Poland and Ukraine.
