In France, Sunday, June 11, is the first round of elections to the National Assembly. Today and also in the second round, June 18, will elect the 577 members of the lower house of the French Parliament.

Elections are held by majority system, under which candidates running for single-member districts. The winner in the first round will be considered the applicant scored in the district, more than 50% of the votes.

In those districts where the results of the first round will not be the winners in a week will be held the second round, which will involve either two candidates with the highest number of votes, or all candidates who voted at least 12.5% of registered voters. To win in the second round will be enough simple majority of votes.

Voting took place in 11 foreign constituencies, three of them on 18 June the second round.
