About 30 French media have signed a petition condemning the decision of the national front party, whose leader is the candidate for the French presidency, marine Le Pen, to choose a certain media that can accompany Le Pen. It is reported by RFI.
“Before the second round of the presidential election the national front decided to choose media that are allowed to accompany marine Le Pen,” reads the petition.
The document notes that some media the party has limited access to information and the ability to follow Le Pen in her travels and at events. Journalists called the actions of NetFront obstructing the freedom of the press.
“No matter what political organization to decide what media to carry out a democratic function in our society,” reads the petition.
Among the signatories of the petition were journalists Agency AFP, Newspapers Le Figaro, Liberation, Le Monde, Mediapart newspaper, radio stations, France Info, France Inter, RFI, RMC, RTL, TV channels TF1, France 2, France 3, France 24, BFMTV, M6, TV shows on Le Quotidien TMC and other media.
27 April in the European Parliament said that Le Pen might have done the EP, the damage amounting to about €5 million.
