At the airport Kiev (Zhuliany), the State border service of Ukraine (SBGS) presented a system of recording biometric data of foreigners and persons without citizenship, entering the territory of the country, allowing to create a biometric database of all foreign nationals. About it reports a press-service of the interior Ministry.

The report said that the launch system is part of the final phase of the input measures on strengthening control along the entire perimeter of the border, as well as for foreign citizens in Ukraine, which primarily will affect the citizens of the aggressor country, the Russian Federation, through the border where on the territory of our state are “spies, saboteurs and provocateurs”, and also Liz from Asia and the Middle East.

“Creates a corresponding technical infrastructure at all points of crossing the state border, which should start operating no later than early next year. However, for citizens of the Russian Federation will be implemented electronic system of pre-registration,” said Secretary of the NSDC Oleksandr Turchynov.

The Minister of internal Affairs Arsen Avakov said that such a system will work from January 1 at 157 equipped points, and then upgrade the rest.

“For those countries with which we have an adequate relationship, major transactions, data exchange, EU countries, Canada, USA, most countries of the world – there will be no problems”, – said Avakov.

The head of the state border service Peter Chekal said that not all EU countries have such latest systems that record entry and exit. According to him, all the points on the border with Russia is already equipped with such systems, and the Western boundary of the vehicle must be completed before the end of the year.

On 24 September it was reported that from 1 January 2018 for the Russians to be introduced biometric control for crossing the border with Ukraine. The head of the state border service Peter Cigital reported that allocated 300 million UAH for the purchase of scanners, the arrangement of jobs, the creation of a complex system.
