Seized the Crimea, the Russian authorities intend to keep the Deputy head of the Mejlis Ilmi Umerov in a psychiatric hospital until 7 September. This was reported by his lawyer mark Feigin on his page in Facebook.

“The FSB intends to keep Umerov in a mental hospital until 7 September, 8 days. So they show their “coolness” under international pressure”, – he wrote.

Umerov another lawyer Nikolai Polozov reported that international attention is riveted to the Deputy head of the Majlis, forcing the hospital administration to “carefully consider his health.”

“However, themselves expert actions by Umarovi Ilmi is not carried out, and what is his further stay in the hospital, in addition to ambitions of the FSB, the Russian authorities, nobody explains” – he said.

In may 2016 special services of the Russian Federation initiated a criminal case against Ilmi Umerov on the article “separatism”. According to the invaders, he called for the violation of the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation in the Ukrainian TV channel ATR”. Despite the condition Umerov experiencing heart problems, the occupants locked him in a psychiatric hospital.
