Natural gas reserves in Ukrainian underground gas storages (UGS) in the past week increased by 3.8% (431 million cubic meters) – up to 11,826 billion cubic meters, the press service of the operator of Ukraine’s gas transportation system of PJSC Ukrtransgaz.
Daily volume of gas injection into underground storage as of August 20, was about 66,8 million cubic meters.
We will remind, at the end of the heating season, Ukraine has ceased to choose the gas from the reservoirs and from April 7 started to fill a volume of fuel.
For the heating season the period of 2016-2017 years, Ukraine plans to increase the fuel capacity in its vaults to 14-14,5 billion cubic meters.
Since July, the Ukrainian side increased gas purchases for the Slovak and Hungarian tours, and resumed imports of the fuel from Poland. Earlier, Naftogaz of Ukraine reported that they plan to buy some imported gas for own funds and also with the help of a loan from the European Bank for reconstruction and development in the amount of $300 million.
