The Bundestag yesterday, April 27, adopted a number of laws, including the prohibition of women in the public service to wear a hat covering the face, such as the niqab or burqa. About this reports Deutsche Welle.
“Veiling for religious or ideological reasons contrary to the principle of neutrality of the state”, – said in justification of the law.
The law requires the woman, regardless of the type of activity to show a person if the law enforcement agencies are trying to establish her identity, for example, when checking the documents.
If necessary, they will have the right to force a woman to open the face.
The document still must be approved by the Bundestag before it takes effect.
