The American company Google is planning to launch in the fall in San Francisco online-search for travel using their navigation app Waze, which will be able to compete with Uber and Lyft. According to The Wall Street Journal, citing sources familiar with the situation.

The company in may, has launched a pilot project of an online service, but only for its employees and about the headquarters in California. The program allows using the application Waze to look for travel companions.

Unlike Uber and Lyft, Waze allows drivers to find only those customers with whom they are on the way. To reduce the probability of part-time drivers as taxi drivers in Google intend installing low tariffs.

It is noted that every local resident can register at Waze as the driver. But its clientele is limited to 25 000 passengers.
