Lawyer Viktor Yanukovych refused to accept the updated suspicion of the ex-dictator under article “high treason”. This was during the briefing said the Prosecutor of the GPU Maxim Crimea, the correspondent of ЛІГА.net.

“Arriving at the premises of the Prosecutor General (attorney – ed.) to confirm in writing the fact of refusal to receive the specified message”, – said the Prosecutor.

At the same time, he added that the fact of refusal shall in no way affect the continued implementation of pre-trial investigation. At the moment, according to him, it continues in the GPU we hope for its early completion.

“However, simultaneously this message also was sent by mail advocacy them. Therefore, the Prosecutor General taken delivery of the message” – said the Prosecutor.

Earlier today, the PGO said that they intend to give the lawyers of Yanukovych clarified the suspicion of treason. It was noted that the changes associated with the request of Yanukovych, the Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine.

28 November 2016, the Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko to Svyatoshynsky district court of Kyiv announced the notification about the suspected Yanukovych of treason.

On 15 December the Pechersky district court of Kiev allowed to detain Yanukovych and deliver it to the court, 20 January the court gave permission for correspondence investigation against the former dictator.
