On Sunday evening in a hospital in Paris at the age of 87 years died French actor Jean Rochefort. It is reported by Le Monde.
During his career, from the 1950s, the actor played roles in over 150 films.
The French press called him a “national treasure” and noted that Rochefort was “based on the French film industry for over half a century, appearing in comedies and popular blockbusters.”
Rochefort played the role of françois Daigre in several parts of the film “Angelica” as well as roles in the films “the Tall blond man with one black Shoe”, “Taunt”, “Asterix and Obelix in Britain”, “the Count of Monte Cristo”, the television series “Novels Mopassana” and others.
