IKEA intends to enter the Ukrainian market. About it reports a press-service of IKEA.
“At the moment, IKEA is looking for the most suitable business model that would allow the company to implement plans in Kiev for the next one to two years”, – stated in the message.
IKEA has specified that the decision on further steps will be taken based on the results of market research and preferences of Ukrainian consumers.
“Our company will present a wide selection of affordable home goods in Ukraine in order to meet the high demand from consumers,” said stéphane Vanoverbeke, sales Manager at IKEA South East Europe (the company, which will operate on the Ukrainian market).
IKEA South-East Europe is also engaged in retail business of IKEA in Croatia, Serbia, Romania and Slovenia. IKEA South East Europe is part of the IKEA Group (Ingka Holding B. V.), the largest franchisee of IKEA in the world.
Earlier it was reported that the European Commission suspects IKEA in illegal tax benefits in the Netherlands.
