During the Airshow in the Australian city of Perth held in honor of Australia Day, and attracted thousands of spectators, the light aircraft crashed. The Grumman G-73 Mallard made a turn, but suddenly lost control and fell into the Swan river. None of the spectators were not injured.
After the crash the future of the celebration was cancelled. The audience was asked to leave the scene.
Businessman Peter Lynch was active in the local aviation community. He planned to open a Museum of aviation. Peter was a very experienced pilot.
The causes of the crash are being investigated.
