In the House of representatives of the U.S. Congress introduced a draft resolution, devoted to 85-th anniversary of the famine-genocide of 1932-33 in Ukraine, according to Ukraine’s Embassy in the United States.
The authors of the draft Chapter of the Ukrainian Caucus in Congress democratic congressmen sander Levin (mi), Marcy Kaptur (Ohio) and congressional Republicans Brian Fitzpatrick (Pennsylvania), Andy Harris (Maryland).
In a resolution, they emphasize that “the 85-th anniversary should be a reminder of the Soviet repressive policy against the people of Ukraine.” The authors of the resolution also encouraged to distribute information about the artificial nature of this tragedy.
In March of this year the Parliament of Portugal decided on the recognition of the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people.
