More than three hundred different sites in Kazakhstan simultaneously subjected to cyber attacks. This was reported in the Ministry of information and communications of the Republic.

In particular, the output response Service on computer incidents recorded 21 hacking of the website of the local Executive and representative bodies.

With Kazakhstan’s Center for the analysis and investigation of cyber attacks reported that they had been hacked 323 resource – not only government agencies, but hospitals, colleges, theaters and libraries.

“It is possible to leak sensitive data, including PII, financial information, access to other services and systems”, – noted in ZARQA.

Local IT experts believe that the main reason for the mass defacement of websites was the “neglect of the owners of the sites measures to upgrade security systems”, and the use of obsolete and unlicensed versions of the software.
