The Kiev office of Uber will be the main in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. The region includes Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Romania, Estonia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. This was reported by the press service of the company.
In the Ukrainian office will work up to 40 people – as it will move employees from other countries.
Ukraine was chosen because of the Kiev team has showed very good results and growth of the service.
The General Manager of Uber in Central and Eastern Europe appointed Alex Stach, who previously headed the Ukrainian office of the company.
Uber has called Ukraine one of the most promising and priority countries for the development of the service. In 2017 Uber started in six cities of Ukraine, bringing their number to seven.
Earlier it was reported that the EU court has recognized Uber a taxi service, not just a mediation service.
